NewMexiKen’s very own parents eloped on this date 62 years ago. She was two weeks past 17, a senior in high school. He was 19 and in the U.S. Navy.
I don’t think getting married at 17/19 is a good idea, but I’m sure glad they did.

It’s great to have a site like this (and the skill in programming) where you can share your family history. This is certainly one of the things that I feel is missing from all the wonderful times that my family had as we were growing up… a sense (at least for me) that we have gathered and maintained family history. Thanks for sharing a small, yet substantial piece of your life.
