Which hot dogs are the tastiest?

The Fourth of July is not only America’s most patriotic holiday, it’s also the holiday during which we consume large quantities of the foods the writer H.L. Mencken once described as “rubber, indigestible pseudo-sausage” — that is, the hot dog.

  1. I do not generally eat hot dogs. But if I’m going to once in a blue moon, the only ones I’ve bought or cared to eat for the past decade or two are Hormel Wranglers. They are the Lexus of hot dogs, with the other brands being more like a 1982 Ford or something. On the label they even threaten you not to boil ’em!
