Yeah, the science behind the Day After Tomorrow is unsound, but global climate change (which is a far better term than global warming) is pretty much accepted by everyone in Atmospheric Sciences that isn’t on the oil companies payroll.
The movie is probably counter-productive, but its being debunked by both sides.
At the very least, fear that it COULD happen ought to guide our actions, rather than the off-chance that the oil companies are correct and it won’t happen.
