Sports Law Blog has an interesting post on the Raul Mondesi case. It seems Mondesi told the Pirates he couldn’t play for the rest of the season due legal problems at home in the Dominican Republic. The Pirates eventually put him on waivers and released him. Two weeks later Mondesi has signed with the Angels, a first place team.
