I hope I can have that much grace and wisdom when my time comes. I have long believed our society has skewed perceptions about life and death. We (as a culture) are often kinder to our animals than our human loved ones when it comes to prolonging life beyond any quality; even into the realms of [sometimes selfishly] inflicting suffering or oblivion onto their final days.
