Provocative line of the day

“I often argue that the concept of ‘atheism’ is unnecessary and misleading. Nearly everyone rejects Zeus, Thor, Isis, along with the countless other dead gods of antiquity, and yet no one feels the need to name this condition of unbelief.”

Sam Harris

Penn Jillette says it best: “I believe that there is no God. I’m beyond atheism.”

    1. Not saying he’s my God, just adding to the general philosophical debate. Maybe it’s man that’s fucked up the world with his free will. You can’t honestly grant free will and then take it away by changing things if you don’t like the results. Then it wouldn’t be free will.

  1. I agree that man has fucked up the world all by himself with his free will. All conscious animals have evolved to have free will. No God had anything to do with it. If God existed, I think he would show himself and fix things without messing with our free will.
