Wouldn’t it be awesome
. . . if the Large Hadron Collider started up on Wednesday morning (U.S. time) as planned and it did create a black hole here on Earth as some crackpots fear and we were all sucked into it?

I disagree that the last line was gratuitous. If I had felt gratuity at all, I would have said “thank you”.

The LHC came on line and so far as I know we haven’t been sucked into a black hole — unless you count the McCain-Palin campaign.
