Many many like the starry night. I do too. I also like the sunflowers. Vincent must have liked the sunflowers also, one of the few he signed.
It’s been my favorite for many years. It must have made an impression on Don McLean (the songwriter, not the basketball player) as well, since it seems to have inspired his lovely song “Vincent.”
“Vincent” is one of Mack’s favorite songs. (Whenever we get in the car he requests either “The Starry, Starry song” or “Mack the Knife.”) You know it’s a good song because I don’t hate it despite having listened to it 3,000 times.
